Texas Closed Captioning, LLC is a woman-owned, small business and was founded in 1990. Texas Closed Captioning, LLC provided the first live captioned broadcast in Central Texas on October 1, 1990. Over the years, we have captioned for several local television stations during their regular broadcasts, severe weather and special events coverage. We also caption televised board meetings, city council meetings and many other events. We also provide CART, Remote CART and webcast captions for a variety of clients throughout the country.

Terry S. McGinty lives in Austin, Texas and is the owner of Texas Closed Captioning, LLC. Terry has been a Certified Shorthand Reporter since 1980 and began her captioning career in 1990. She has been providing CART and closed captioning in Central Texas since that time. Terry received the Registered Professional Reporter certificate in 1982, the Registered Merit Reporter certificate in 1989, the Certified Realtime Reporter certificate in 1994, the Registered Diplomate Reporter certificate in 1997, the Texas CART Provider Level V designation in 2000, the NCRA Certified CART Provider in 2005 and the NCRA Certified Broadcast Captioner in 2006. Terry was presented the Steve Hodges Outstanding Service Award in recognition of her “Service and Dedication to the Hard-of-Hearing and Late-Deafened People in Austin, Texas” and the firm was awarded a certificate of recognition for Quality Captioning Services by Travis County Services for the Deaf.
Polly Fife, from Georgetown, Texas, has been a Certified Shorthand Reporter since 1986. Polly has been providing realtime court reporting services since 1995 and started captioning in 1997. She received her Registered Professional Reporter certificate in 1997 and became a Certified Realtime Reporter in 1998. She also achieved a Texas CART Provider Level V designation in 2002 and the NCRA Certified Broadcast Captioner in 2006.
Michelle M. Lemke lives in Cedar Park, Texas, and has been a Certified Shorthand Reporter since 1991 and began providing realtime court reporting services in 1997. Michelle started her CART career in 2003. She received her Associate in Applied Science degree in Court Reporting in 1990 and her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 1997. Michelle received the Registered Professional Reporter certificate in 1990, the Certified Realtime Reporter certificate in 2008, and the NCRA Certified CART Provider in 2009. Michelle is currently a Texas CART Provider Level I.
Kimberly Cunningham lives in Round Rock, Texas. She received her Associate in Applied Science degree in Court Reporting in 1992, and became a Certified Shorthand Reporter in 1993. Kimberly worked in court upon graduation for five years and then moved on to freelance work, providing realtime services beginning in 1999. Kimberly received the Registered Professional Reporter certificate in 2007, and the Certified Realtime Reporter certificate in 2008. Kimberly began her CART career with Texas Closed Captioning in 2005 and is currently a Texas CART Provider Level I.

Members of the Texas Closed Captioning, LLC team have presented at numerous court reporting and CART seminars sponsored by the Texas Court Reporters Association and the National Court Reporters Association.

Texas Closed Captioning, LLC also contracts with other certified captioners and CART providers around the country to provide captioning and CART as the need arises.
